The 993 Turbo featured wider bodywork, revised bumper covers, and a fixed rear spoiler to accommodate top-mount intercoolers when compared with the standard 993 coupe. This example left the factory finished in Black (041) and received a glass-out repaint and paint protection film under current ownership. A Turbo S–style front spoiler, brake cooling ducts, and fog lights have been installed, along with clear fog light lenses. Additional exterior features include a power sunroof, xenon headlights, a rear window wiper, and polished exhaust outlets. Paint protection film has been applied to the full exterior, according to the seller. A ceramic coating and ceramic window tint are said to have been recently applied.

The 18″ BBS E88 wheels feature a three-piece design and titanium lug nuts. Wheel spacers have been installed, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are mounted front and rear. Modifications include KW coilovers and H&R sway bars with drop links as well as Rothsport steering rack bushings and Eisenlohr Racing RSR front uprights. The brake calipers were rebuilt and refinished by PMB Performance under current ownership, and stainless-steel brake lines were installed along with replacement brake rotors, pads, and wear sensors. The ride height was adjusted, an alignment and corner balance were performed, and the brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.

The interior is appointed with black leather upholstery, and it was overhauled under current ownership with heated Recaro Sportster RS Nurburgring Edition front seats, RS-style leather door panels with custom door pulls, and a custom sound system with a Porsche Classic head unit. Details include a Rothsport shift knob linked to an FD Motorsports short shifter as well as a metal pedal set, air conditioning, USB charging ports, and color-coordinated Porsche-branded floor mats.

A 996 GT3 airbag steering wheel has been fitted, and it frames Turbo S–style instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, an analog Quarz clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat-six was rebuilt to a 3.8-liter displacement under current ownership using Mahle 102mm pistons and cylinders. The turbochargers were rebuilt with upgraded components, the DME was tuned, and a lightweight flywheel, hydraulic 964 camshafts, semi-solid engine mounts, performance cylinder head studs, and upgraded oil lines were installed during the project. Fister Stage III mufflers are equipped. An oil change was carried out, and the boost pressure sending unit was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Matt, The rest of your option codes:
C02 means it is a US delivered car
586 (not 588): Lumbar support - left seat
650 (not 850): Sunroof (Std on US cars)
692 (not 892): 6 disc CD changer in frunk
The following are not option codes:
09981: The car was diverted off the line to the Exclusive Dept for finishing. Most likely at loop 7 in the line. The options that caused it to be diverted were the X54 Chrome exhausts and the X70 Aluminum door sills. The other X options were stocked on the regular production line.
09991: Designates the car has one or more Exclusive Dept X options. This car has the 5 listed (X54, X70, X71, X97 and X98).
All the best

Aug 12, 2026 · 14:31
Good morning! Well, I have to say I am excited to see where my car ends up. It has been a really fun build and I think the execution is spot on. Everything works on this car as it should; no rattles or odd noises, no disappointments. I had the car fully PPF, plus the windshield. All the details are spot on. The engine pulls like a freight train. The handling is more like a GT3 than anything else.
I am available for any questions about my car; just let me know!
Again, I want to thank my team in Portland for building another one of my dreams. Chris and Kyle really put all their best efforts into this build! We are really lucky to have this talent pool.
Aug 12, 2026 · 14:26
I see in the comments that some don't get the RWD conversion, but this is the 993 that I'd bet Porsche engineers wanted to build--the car that properly carries forward the legacy of the 930 turbo (the original widowmaker). No question that the 993 turbo, with its AWD, was an amazing car (and still is!). But it's a car that is less edgy, and easier to drive than the turbos that preceded it. Perfect for the large majority of buyers that don't take their car to the track, and will never know the thrill of adding throttle to stabilize the rear end in a turn. Maybe if federalizing low volume cars wasn't so expensive we'd still be getting RWD turbos, but we don't, and thus this car is a very special window into what arguably should have been. So cool; well done to the builder. GTWTA. Can't wait to see what you build next.

Between purchase price and build cost, the current bid is a pittance of what this cost the previous owner.
This car could be a good example of the need to think strategically when sinking significant liquidity into a project and ROI should that need to be recaptured…

The hp of car is 550-575 hp. I wanted to dyno it here, but it has been so dam hot out, 105-115 this last few weeks, not great to run on dyno with limited airflow on engine and intercooler. It runs very strong and linear. Really zero turbo lag, revs to redline very fast.
With a bigger intercooler and exhaust upgrade, I’m sure you could add 75-100 hp
I really wanted the car Bullit proof and smooth delivery, I think this build is all of that!
You can see how hard this car pulls in the video.

@freemason Tires are date coded late 24'. They did not get mounted till late 2025. They have less than 2000 miles on them.
The car does not need any service or items. Otto Werks in Scottsdale just went through it last month and did the first service on the engine, replaced the Turbo axels, and a few small things; it is good to go!

As soon as I read "converted to 2 wheel drive", I got exited ... there is nothing better, than rear wheel drive for pure driving pleasure. The steering feel compared to AWD, is completely different, and that rear end is really alive, especially with all that torque at relatively low rpm combined with a short wheelbase ... you will really feel that tow correcting rear suspension.
Less than 6lbs per HP, KW's, forged BBS's and stiffer sway bars, is music to my ears ... and all that, in an understated package. Fantastic car!

I recently saw this car at an air-cooled only meet. It literally stopped me in my tracks when I saw it. Perfect paint, stance and glass. It is gorgeous, and the wheels are the cherry on top. Good luck bidders, I wish I was amongst your ranks.

Here is a driving video of Matt's 993 Turbo! During this driving video, we used an external mic mounted near the exhaust and an internal mic. The first part of the video is the external mic, and the second part is the internal mic.
We will be posting addtional videos on the 993, so stay tuned!

The 2WD conversion is a worthwhile modification.
It is also fully and easily reversible, and considerably less complex than the equivalent conversion on the 964, which represents a substantially larger undertaking.
Furthermore, on most 993 Turbos today, the front drivetrain is in all likelihood no longer in its original condition — meaning that in most cases, the all-wheel-drive system no longer operates as Porsche originally intended. I have not come across many cars in which the viscous coupling, for example, has been overhauled.
Nevertheless, the car fully deserves genuine Porsche 993 hardback sport seats ;-)
Aug 4, 2026 · 18:11
@doobes Several reasons.
First, I wanted the feel and drive characteristics of the 993 GT2, which was rear-wheel drive only.
Second, it takes about 200 pounds out of the car
Third, I much prefer Rear Wheel Drive over All Wheel Drive in most circumstances.
Being Rear Wheel Drive really makes the car so much more enjoyable. It is like driving a modern GT3. Especially with the modern RSR uprights and suspension upgrades.
Aug 4, 2026 · 16:53
993 Turbos aren’t meant for launches or drag racing. Wheel hop can put the rear differential at risk. A 60–130 mph run on a closed course is a much better performance metric.
Removing the front differential would probably go unnoticed by most. With the engine and transmission in the rear, the front wheels add little traction. I mainly felt the front differential at turn-in, where a slight lift helped rotate the car predictably—almost like a FWD car—although the kinematic toe-in also plays a role.
The front differential might help in snow, but who drives a 993 Turbo in the snow?

Ok,
Dumb guy here.
What is the rationalization for converting from 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel drive?
Thanks
Aug 4, 2026 · 14:10
Matt tossed me the keys to this beast one morning after a CC. My intentions were to drive it around the block. 20 min later I showed back up late to breakfast.
The car is absolutely wonderful. All the sluggish 993 traits have been eliminated.
Car pulls like a freight train. Handles like a cup car. I was shocked how good it was.
If your on the fence on this car go drive if. You will own it.

Great looking car. For those of us that prefer a more custom hot rod air cooled Porsche, this is near perfect. My 993 4S has the rear wheel drive conversion and I love it.
Aug 4, 2026 · 13:13
Really impressive build with the best parts.
I'm sure @911R meant "Turbo Kraft" in Mesa, AZ versus Turbo Craft.
I also noticed that the rear exhaust Tee that connect to the heat exchangers are dented? Is it because the rear of the car is so low?
I have not seen a set of BBS wheels pre-drilled so heavily on the inside where it mounts to the hubs. Interesting....
The red accents on the front Recaros look good and doesn't bother me that it is not carried over to the rear.
Black is a color that I have a love-hate relationship. I love it for the menacing look, the 993 wears it so well. Hate it because it scratches easily, swirl marks even easier and is a high maintenance color.
At 525hp and just over 3000-lbs in a RWD car that has most of its weight behind the wheels, you better "Point" before you "Squirt"..otherwise you'll be in the "Dirt".
I own an '89 930 that is at 2,950-lbs and has 4XX-hp and it's a ton of fun, this 993 is certainly a rung or two higher.
Great build! Kudos.

@saswp it has about 2000 miles since I finished the car. I just had a full service done on it, including changing all fluids, new Porsche Turbo axles, alignment, and inspection done a couple weeks ago.

I get removing 4wd system supposedly makes a better car but are there any numbers to back it up? 0-60 or? before and after mods?

Some engine build pics, not the special Ni-Resit Turbo head rings... Im told they are some NASA-spec stuff. The 3.8 Mahle Motorsport P/C were really hard to get. The guys at TurboCraft got them for the build.

My 3TT is RWD with E88s but runs a stock powerplant. The RWD allows the steering wheel to come alive. Interested to see what this go for

I’m sure the previous owner had a blast with this car… And no doubt the new owner will have as equal if not more of a blast…I doubt it will be me, but I’m going to try!!
Aug 4, 2026 · 01:10
I want to love this 993 tt, as a past owner of a guard's red 993 TT I will tell anyone who listens how amazing these cars are. That said I'm struggling to understand this ine? I like the subtle Turbo S front splitter, I don't understand why you go with a three spoke over the four spoke wheel other than I assume the four-spoke had a ton of wear, same goes with the seats, if you're going to change the front seats then work should be done on the rear seats, right? I don't love going to the lightweight door cards. It just seems to be a little bit of a mishmash of a car. And they're such great cars in their original form. The exhaust I don't mind changing as I changed mine, and it did make it sound better. But the number one concern is removing the four-wheel drive system. Unlike the Lamborghinis where removing the front differential and running two wheel drive make the cars better, the four-wheel drive system on the 993 TT are fantastic, and really help with cornering speeds on track. Removing it also changes the weight balance of the car and I don't feel it's changing it for the better. This is just my humble opinion and I think the look of the car is beautiful as is all 993 tt's. And I'm always a big fan of the bbs's as I put them on all of my Porsche's! Like I said I'm trying to like this car I just don't know if I can understand it yet?
